Terms of use and supply
These terms cover the use of this website and the way CATO reference standards are quoted and supplied. The quotation and the order confirmation issued for a specific enquiry govern that supply where they differ from this page.
Research use only
All products supplied by CATO are for laboratory and research use. They are not for human or veterinary use, not for diagnostic or therapeutic use, and not for use as food, drug, cosmetic or household products. Pharmacopoeial names (EP, USP, BP, JP) are used on this site for identification purposes only and do not imply that the material is a pharmacopoeial reference standard or that those bodies endorse it.
Prices and quotations
No prices are published on this site. Availability, pack sizes and prices are confirmed in writing in reply to an enquiry, and a quotation states what is included — the pack size, the documentation, the shipping configuration and the lead time. Quotations are valid for the period stated in them.
Product information on this site
Catalogue data (names, CAS numbers, molecular formulas and weights, structural identifiers, storage and shipping conditions, stock status) is provided for identification and method work. It is reviewed continuously; if a value on a page differs from the certificate issued for the lot, the certificate governs. Nothing on this site should be read as a specification for a regulated filing — request the current certificate and, where relevant, the lot-specific data.
Documentation
Each lot is issued with its own certificate of analysis, and a safety data sheet is provided for the compound. Certificates for a specific lot are retrieved by catalogue or lot number through the COA lookup or by email. Documents are supplied in English unless another language is agreed in the quotation.
Orders, shipping and claims
An order is accepted when it is confirmed in writing with a lead time. Shipping and temperature control are described on the shipping page and confirmed per compound. Please check the consignment on arrival: if the material, the pack size or the documentation is not what the order states, contact us promptly (carrier claims are time-limited) and we will correct it in line with the terms of the quotation.
