Azithromycin-d3 is the trideuterated form of azithromycin, the azalide macrolide antibiotic widely prescribed for respiratory, skin and urogenital infections. Labelling with three deuterium atoms gives a molecule that co-elutes with the parent drug yet differs in mass, the property that makes it valuable as an internal standard.
