Calcipotriol — impurities and related standards
All 3 Calcipotriol-related compounds in the CATO catalogue, listed with their CAS numbers, molecular formulae and stock status. If the compound you need is not listed, send the structure or the impurity designation and we will check whether it can be synthesised or isolated.
Calcipotriol is a synthetic analogue of vitamin D3 applied topically for the treatment of psoriasis and related disorders of keratinocyte differentiation. It is a secosteroid with several stereocentres and a triene system, so its impurity profile is dominated by stereochemical and geometric features: epimers at the hydroxyl-bearing centres, cis and trans isomers of the side chain, and oxidative or photochemical degradation products formed in formulation. The standards listed here are the EP-designated calcipotriol impurities, supplied as individual characterised lots for pharmacopoeial related-substance testing, identification of isomeric peaks, and method development where resolution of closely related secosteroid components is required.
